Long Island

RELAXING AT ITS BEST
LONG ISLAND has a cubic basic form, which is given a deliberate tension by the conical
armrest and the rounding in the corners and creates a relaxed lightness through the balanced
proportions. This lightness is supported by the low backrest, which makes it possible to “relax”
facing each other, with the backrest becoming an armrest. The floating character of the base
plate with the inwardly placed feet further supports this. In addition to the horizontal
structure, the emphasis on the vertical is characteristic and is reflected in the rectangular
shape of the armrests and in the seat cushions, which create soft flowing transitions. The
integrated shelves also invite uncomplicated enjoyment.
